Southport Bowl has several leagues
available to join that are running throughout
the week. There is also the option of
starting your very own league. Contact

In five-pin bowling, different pins are worth different points, depending on their
location. The centre pin is worth five points, those on either side of it are worth Location
three, and the outermost pins are worth two.

If only two throws are used to knock down all five pins, this is called a ‘spare’. Plains RecPlex at:

This causes the score of first ball in the next frame to be added to the spare.
If only one throw is need to down all five pins, this is called a ‘strike’, and the
score from the first two balls in the next frame is added to the score of the
strike.
