Southport is proud to be part of the
Portage la Prairie Regional Tourism Committee. TAKING ACTION
In summer 2019, Southport became the first ‘Climate Smart’ certified
organization in Manitoba by developing a Baseline Greenhouse Gas
Emissions Inventory and Reduction Plan. This accreditation identifies
Southport as a leading organization that is tracking and taking
action to reduce its carbon footprint and greenhouse gas emissions.
Southport proudly maintains this status with a dedicated team that
tracks and manages our goals. The following highlights are attributed
to our Climate Smart certification.
