On September 13, 2025, aircraft gave way to running
shoes as the Southport RUNway took flight!
This annual event blends fitness, community spirit, and purpose,
giving participants the rare opportunity to run or walk on the
airfield while supporting initiatives that strengthen Portage and
District.
The 2025 event saw record-setting performances, with the 5K
winner finishing in 21:52 and the 10K winner crossing the line
at 33:29.
Growing Together: Community Impact Over Time!
The Southport RUNway continues to grow in both participation
and generosity. Over the past three events, more residents have
joined in, and the dollars raised for Southport’s Endowment
Fund have steadily increased, demonstrating the community’s
ongoing commitment to supporting local initiatives.
