Letter from the CEO

Welcome to our seventh edition of Reaching New Heights! It’s been another busy year at Southport.

The groundbreaking of our new administration building marked an exciting milestone, reflecting the organization’s growth
and highlighting new guidelines in LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) for all future construction
on-site. Completion and occupancy are expected in the fall this year!

This past year, Southport hosted CBC’s Still Standing comedy series that was featured on a national level. We
welcomed multiple new tenants on-site, announced 24/7 fitness centre access at the Central Plains RecPlex, and
formalized a new Corporate Stewardship Framework.

Improvements to Southport's assets continued with the completion of the 188 unit residential upgrade program, and
large scale roofing and paving programs.

Our commitment to minimizing our carbon footprint persevered as we installed 38 electric furnaces in the residential units,
purchased two fully electric vehicles (EV's), and installed two EV charging stations on-site.

Moving ahead into 2024 and in support of 100 Years of the Royal Canadian Armed Forces (RCAF), Southport is proud to
host the 2024 Manitoba Airshow this August 3 and 4 . The event will feature incredible aerial performances by military

and civilian performers, Young Aviators Educational Tent, static displays, a car show, and lots of family fun entertainment
for all ages.
As we look ahead, we are excited to support and see the continuation of RCAF flight training at
Southport. Our team is already working with the team at SkyAlyne as they prepare for Future Air
Crew Training.

Certainly, the dedication of our staff and the guidance from our Board of Directors are the pillars
supporting our ongoing success. Our campus is growing, and we invite you to discover what’s
