In April, we revealed a new “Gate Guardian” at the entrance of

As we celebrate this achievement, we also look into our past
to see how Southport has grown over the years. You can find
the cover story about how Southport came to be and the
developments and changes from the last 25 years on page 24.

At the beginning of the year we released an economic impact
study that shows the value Southport brings to the region
including the contribution of military flight training. Since the last
study in 2012, we’ve increased in every category measured. You
can read more on page 16. Much of this growth is from existing
tenants growing their business and new tenants creating new
jobs. In this magazine you will find stories on some of our new
tenants, as well as how some of our tenants from the early days
have evolved.
