EVENTS July 4 — Southport AGM
CALENDAR Southport will be hosting the 24th Annual AGM at the Central
Plains RecPlex - Daycare. General Members, Board of Directors
JUNE June 4 and Commercial Tenants will be in attendance to review the
Manitoba Air Show 2016 2015-16 fiscal year and see what 2016-17 has in store.

Get ready for the largest Airshow in July 26 — RCMP Musical Ride
Manitoba in nearly a decade! This
year’s Airshow will feature exciting Southport, Community Foundation of Portage and District
aerobatics displays by the Snowbirds and the Portage Exhibition have partnered to bring the RCMP
and our own Canadian Forces CF-18 Musical Ride to the PCU Centre in Portage la Prairie.

+ Southport will host a community BBQ for the 500 residents that
live at Southport. There will be entertainment, free food and

September — Family Day
KF Aerospace Defence Programs will host a Family Day to give
their employees and families an opportunity to take flight in 1
of 4 aircraft. There will also be games and entertainment for all
ages.
September 8 — RecPlex Grand Opening
Central Plains RecPlex Grand Opening: Southport will open
the doors to the state-of-the-art Central Plains RecPlex, which
features a rock climbing wall, walking path, fitness and weight
areas, full gymnasium, Welcome Centre, and Daycare.
OCTOBER 2016
October 26 — General Members Evening
The 75 General Members of Southport will meet for dinner to
review the past year’s financial results and events and will learn
about the upcoming plans for Southport.
October — Land Owner’s Appreciation Day
DND and KF Aerospace Defence Programs will show their ap-
preciation to the local farmers that allow flights over their yards
and fields all year round.
